SUMMMMMER!!!!

Less than a month until I begin my job for the Nebraska Youth Sports Program. I couldn't be more excited and energetic to be working with over 100 community youth. I love athletics and I can't wait to share my knowledge with those children and get them excited about sports. This summer is going to be a good one, I think. I'm moving in with my two best friends and what can be better than that?! The two people that always have my back and have seen me cry, laugh, and be truly upset. They're "my people" as Meredith Grey would say on Greys Anatomy. I'll still be working my same job at the Buckle and probably still blow tons of dollars from each paycheck on a new wardrobe. BUT my favorite part about this summer is....drum roll please..........I TURN 21!! June 29th is the big day! When I'm no longer a minor and I become of age! I can't wait! Especially since all my friends are over the age of 21, it'll be exciting to finally be able to join them in a social gathering somewhere other than a house party. I have high expectations for the summer of 2009 and I hope you guys experience everything you wish this fantastic SEASON!!

Cinco De Mayo

Ok so if you notice my below post, you can see I'm optimistic and encouraging to the idea of finals week. I even listed an encouraging quote and wished everyone the best of luck during this stressful time of the school year. Now as day two is about to come to a close my feelings about finals week have started to crash....and BURN! I sit here, on the floor, looking for any excuse not to study for my sports marketing exam that is tomorrow morning...at 8:00 a.m. Of course it's at 8 a.m.! Why would my final exam be any later than 8!? By the way, why is facebook such a demanding part of the college life? I can't sit at my computer for longer than 8 minutes without logging in to check my latest notifications. Especially with today being Cinco De Mayo! The 5th of MAY, which is normally a day to celebrate but not for this girl. I'm hitting the books and flipping through notecards. Yay finals week. Please notice the sarcasm....

As we start off on this beautiful morning of finals week, I wanted to take this time to wish everyone the best of luck on all they need to accomplish this week. It's definitely a stressful time, but DO NOT FEAR!! Summer is just a few short days away! I know this week can get busy between moving into new places, finishing up last minute projects, studying for exams, and reading those last few chapters! The Reality Show Break-Up CURSE

As I was doing some reading on CNN's website I found a video that really caught my eye. A video entitled 'Jon and Kate Plus 8' drama! As an avid reader of Jon and Kate I was really intrigued about what is going on with this story book family. For those who don't know, Jon and Kate are the parents of sextuplets and twins. The family has had a reality show on TLC for the last few years as the world has watched the children grow up and the family change from home to home. Last February, tabloids exploited Jon saying he was living with his mother and staying out late at local bars with college volleyball players. But of course...Jon denied those reports. Now most recently the cover of US weekly, once again spills the beans about the troubled marriage. Apparently photos were released of Jon with another woman. After this recent marriage trouble of a reality couple it makes me think of the curse. The fact that every couple that has their life broadcasted on televisions across the world have broken soon after. Jessica Simpson and Nick Lachey, Travis Barker of Blink 182 and Shanna Moakler, Carmen Electra and Dave Navarro, Hulk Hogan and his wife Linda all split after their reality show. Looks like the only couple that has made it through the trials and tribulations is Ozzy and Sharon Osbourne...Who knew?

ABC Family's Greek Review

I chose to review ABC Family's hit sitcom Greek.

no asthma for this girl!

For a while now, I have been diagnosed with asthma. Several doctor apointments, medicines, and inhalers later, I find out....I'm not even asthmatic! I began seeing another doctor and he was concerned about my breathing and coughing that I had been experiencing so he decided he wanted to do some testing. I went in this afternoon to do so and after the breathing treatments he sat me down in his office. He looked me square in the eye and said, "Do you have asthma? probably not...No longer label your self as someone with asthma." It was a relief! The expenses and hassle of the inhaler is no longer a part of my life! I think it's crazy how one diagnosis can be so different than another professional. The doctor did tell me that I probably have some form of athletic induced asthma that alot of athletes have when exercising or playing a particular sport. So for now, I'm cured!
