When someone mentions the name Prince, many pop tunes come to mind. For my review, I did some reading at Rolling Stone's website on Prince's newest album LotusFlow3R. Rolling Stone gave the new album only three stars and to me, the review started out a little harsh."Prince is like Woody Allen: They're both reclusive, sex-obsessed geniuses who release new material relentlessly and without any regard to the law of diminishing returns". Now, I do agree with several points that the review made. I love old prince music don't get me wrong. I mean, who can forget Julia Roberts singing in her bubble bath in the classic movie Pretty Woman. Or little red chorvette. All classics but is 31 years too much of a career, especially when some of those new songs sound just as catchy and similar to the old ones. So overall I think Prince is of course a fantastic artist and has been for several years but there comes a time when its time to hang up the old jersey. Since I'm sure that won't happen, live on Prince and keep up the pop generation.
