SUMMMMMER!!!!
Less than a month until I begin my job for the Nebraska Youth Sports Program. I couldn't be more excited and energetic to be working with over 100 community youth. I love athletics and I can't wait to share my knowledge with those children and get them excited about sports. This summer is going to be a good one, I think. I'm moving in with my two best friends and what can be better than that?! The two people that always have my back and have seen me cry, laugh, and be truly upset. They're "my people" as Meredith Grey would say on Greys Anatomy. I'll still be working my same job at the Buckle and probably still blow tons of dollars from each paycheck on a new wardrobe. BUT my favorite part about this summer is....drum roll please..........I TURN 21!! June 29th is the big day! When I'm no longer a minor and I become of age! I can't wait! Especially since all my friends are over the age of 21, it'll be exciting to finally be able to join them in a social gathering somewhere other than a house party. I have high expectations for the summer of 2009 and I hope you guys experience everything you wish this fantastic SEASON!!

Cinco De Mayo
Ok so if you notice my below post, you can see I'm optimistic and encouraging to the idea of finals week. I even listed an encouraging quote and wished everyone the best of luck during this stressful time of the school year. Now as day two is about to come to a close my feelings about finals week have started to crash....and BURN! I sit here, on the floor, looking for any excuse not to study for my sports marketing exam that is tomorrow morning...at 8:00 a.m. Of course it's at 8 a.m.! Why would my final exam be any later than 8!? By the way, why is facebook such a demanding part of the college life? I can't sit at my computer for longer than 8 minutes without logging in to check my latest notifications. Especially with today being Cinco De Mayo! The 5th of MAY, which is normally a day to celebrate but not for this girl. I'm hitting the books and flipping through notecards. Yay finals week. Please notice the sarcasm....

Good LUCK EVERYONE!!
As we start off on this beautiful morning of finals week, I wanted to take this time to wish everyone the best of luck on all they need to accomplish this week. It's definitely a stressful time, but DO NOT FEAR!! Summer is just a few short days away! I know this week can get busy between moving into new places, finishing up last minute projects, studying for exams, and reading those last few chapters! Here is a quote I thought would help everyone survive the unbearable we call Finals WEEK!!
"The shorter way to do many things is to do only one thing at a time."

HAVE A GREAT SUMMMMMMMMER!!!!!!

The Reality Show Break-Up CURSE
As I was doing some reading on CNN's website I found a video that really caught my eye. A video entitled 'Jon and Kate Plus 8' drama! As an avid reader of Jon and Kate I was really intrigued about what is going on with this story book family. For those who don't know, Jon and Kate are the parents of sextuplets and twins. The family has had a reality show on TLC for the last few years as the world has watched the children grow up and the family change from home to home. Last February, tabloids exploited Jon saying he was living with his mother and staying out late at local bars with college volleyball players. But of course...Jon denied those reports. Now most recently the cover of US weekly, once again spills the beans about the troubled marriage. Apparently photos were released of Jon with another woman. After this recent marriage trouble of a reality couple it makes me think of the curse. The fact that every couple that has their life broadcasted on televisions across the world have broken soon after. Jessica Simpson and Nick Lachey, Travis Barker of Blink 182 and Shanna Moakler, Carmen Electra and Dave Navarro, Hulk Hogan and his wife Linda all split after their reality show. Looks like the only couple that has made it through the trials and tribulations is Ozzy and Sharon Osbourne...Who knew?

no asthma for this girl!
For a while now, I have been diagnosed with asthma. Several doctor apointments, medicines, and inhalers later, I find out....I'm not even asthmatic! I began seeing another doctor and he was concerned about my breathing and coughing that I had been experiencing so he decided he wanted to do some testing. I went in this afternoon to do so and after the breathing treatments he sat me down in his office. He looked me square in the eye and said, "Do you have asthma? probably not...No longer label your self as someone with asthma." It was a relief! The expenses and hassle of the inhaler is no longer a part of my life! I think it's crazy how one diagnosis can be so different than another professional. The doctor did tell me that I probably have some form of athletic induced asthma that alot of athletes have when exercising or playing a particular sport. So for now, I'm cured!

Who knew that what other people have to say can influence what you want to express to the world. That’s how I felt after hearing a particular column in today’s class. I had a column all ready to submit but wasn’t satisfied with the feeling and emotion I had put forth for it. After hearing that particular column I really started to think about how I value my life and how I’ve been spending my time here on earth. I left class thinking about the wonderful people I do have in my life, the people I have lost, and also the people that got a second chance at living but have dealt with those close calls along the way.
It was a great day. My morning class had been cancelled and I was finally able to sleep in and enjoy my warm comfy, queen-size bed. My phone, sitting on my night stand, began to ring and ring and ring. With each ring I found myself waking up a little more when I finally grabbed that little piece of technology to see who it was that so urgently needed to speak with me. When I glanced at the screen and read the name “Mom” I immediately was frustrated. Especially as I glanced at my alarm clock to read “8:23”. I pressed ignore and complained to myself that my mom had to call me early in the morning just to see how my day was going when in reality it hadn’t even started yet. I rolled back over and fell back asleep. Several minutes later I began to get text message after text message. After ten minutes of being sick and tired of that same ring tone chiming in with every text I finally grabbed my phone and went to my inbox. “RIP Wade Loberg…You’ll never be forgotten…1989-2008”. That text message was my wakeup call on September 4, 2008. Thinking it was a joke, I dialed my voicemail. My mother was that first message. Her words were slurred as she tried to explain details in between each sob and each scream. With tears streaming down my face in disbelief I hit the floor.
Wade was nineteen. He was newly nineteen years old and his life was done being lived. He was a victim of drunk driving and not by someone else’s mistakes but by his own. He had been at a party north of our home town and lost control on a blacktop curve entering the city limits. He was ejected from the vehicle and then crushed by the heavy duty pick-up truck as it rolled over him. His fox racing hat lay beside him and his glasses tossed somewhere in the field never to be found. Wade wasn’t just someone from my hometown. He was my good friend’s little brother, my neighbor since we were little, a hide-and-seek companion for many years before, and a driver I trusted many times in many different situations.
Our families have been best friends and neighbors for as long as I can remember. Vacations, family gatherings, block parties, and life events had been shared for so many years and I couldn’t imagine losing a part of that tradition. A month before this tragedy, I had driven Wade home after a concert in a neighboring town. It was our last heart to heart, the last Marlboro red he convinced me to share with him, and the last time I saw him before that day I held a Kleenex in my hand looked down and prayed beside his casket.
I think it’s crazy how events like this occur and after the heart ache and tragedy people recover and people continue with their lives but it’s needed to be reminded not to take life for granted. Wade was a week away from starting his first semester at college. I go to class every single day and get in my routine and don’t even consider the fact that he never got to experience those things. Take a look around, realize you’re lucky for what you’ve experienced and accomplished, and live every day like it may be your last.

I love Mirandasings08
A couple weeks ago I was introduced to "mirandasings08". These videos on youtube were seriously the funniest thing I have ever seen. I'm not sure why people enjoy watching others fail miserably for teh whole world to see but I was looked. With every raise of her eyebrow and every tip of her hat, Miranda made the world laugh by singing horribly. From Love Shack to Single Ladies, Miranda belted out pop hits from every genre. Having almost 40 videos on youtube people, also known as haters, continuously made "negative comments" on each one of her videos. I too, thought this young woman was just someone who thought she was the best thing since sliced bread, but come to find out, it's all a performance. Colleen Ballinger, a 22 year old performer, is actually...talented! Who knew!? I do have to say I was a little dissapointed at the fact that funny looks and crazy makeup is all a show and in reality this singer may have a future in entertainment. She sure fooled everyone out there! I'm attaching links so if you haven't already, you can see her mirandasings video along with her real performing ability!

Now this may seem a little valley girlish or even a little superficial to do a column about a character on a reality television show but I think it’s time I let my true feelings come out. He is a person that makes my skin crawl and my body cringe. A person that I will blatantly admit that I despise. He is a person that every time I see his face or hear his voice, it makes me want to move uncomfortably in my seat. Who is this person, you ask? Spencer Pratt. For those who aren’t familiar with that name, he is an LA socialite who made his debut to the world in 2005 when him and Brody Jenner first appeared on MTV’s hit reality show, The Hills. Now despite what people say about The Hills, I think it is entertaining and do believe that a good portion of it is real life. I honestly don’t know how someone could make up half of the drama that happens in that hour time slot on MTV. Now where was I? Oh yes, Spencer Pratt. A man who looks like Harry Henderson with his flesh colored beard. Now not only does this man’s outward appearance bother me without a doubt, it’s his arrogance and over-bearing personality that really gets my stomach turning. Spencer and Heidi Montag, his on again off again girlfriend of the last three years, have hit tabloids and had talk show appearances one after another defending their relationship and who they are. They insist to this day that the show perceives them in a different light but as I can continue to be glued to my television every Monday night at 9 pm, I’m not so sure it’s our perception that makes him evil. I think you truly have a problem when every relationship your fiancĂ© ever built has been broken because of your actions or attitude. Heidi had a best friend, LC. Are they currently friends? Nope, all because of Spencer starting rumors about LC and ex-boyfriend Jason having a sex tape. Does Heidi’s family support the Spencer/Heidi relationship? Survey says….NO! Once again another relationship ruined because of Spencer. “I think you’re very controlling and manipulative. I think you’re condescending, rude and very hostile right now." Darlene, Heidi’s mother said those words to Spencer on an episode of The Hills as she tried to figure out what her beautiful daughter saw in the horrible man sitting across from her. What other things has Spencer ruined in Heidi’s life, you ask? What about her career! After a fight with Heidi, Spencer showed up in Las Vegas to get Heidi back and caused a scene while she was having dinner about a project with her two bosses from her event planning firm, Bolthouse Productions. He actually did cost Heidi her job when he showed up uninvited once again at an event Heidi was planning, only to influence her to take several shots of tequila, which led to her termination.

all i need is your extra time and your.......KISS
When someone mentions the name Prince, many pop tunes come to mind. For my review, I did some reading at Rolling Stone's website on Prince's newest album LotusFlow3R. Rolling Stone gave the new album only three stars and to me, the review started out a little harsh."Prince is like Woody Allen: They're both reclusive, sex-obsessed geniuses who release new material relentlessly and without any regard to the law of diminishing returns". Now, I do agree with several points that the review made. I love old prince music don't get me wrong. I mean, who can forget Julia Roberts singing in her bubble bath in the classic movie Pretty Woman. Or little red chorvette. All classics but is 31 years too much of a career, especially when some of those new songs sound just as catchy and similar to the old ones. So overall I think Prince is of course a fantastic artist and has been for several years but there comes a time when its time to hang up the old jersey. Since I'm sure that won't happen, live on Prince and keep up the pop generation.

Spring Break blues
As I get back into the swing of things with school and work, I think about spring break every single day. How simple it was. How getting up late, enjoying myself for 5 days straight with my friends on a beach was so easy. I know people always say it's back to reality but it really is a downer. This year was my first time experiencing a spring break destination and I don't know how people ever did it. Fun week of adventure and excitement just to come back to Kearney, Nebraska to study, work at nights, and struggle to get by every day. Not to mention the moment I got back into Nebraska I got sick. Well the countdown continues until the next spring break which probably won't happen since I'm sure I'll be paying my parents back for the rest of my life.
The Case of the Padre Thief
When people think of spring break on South Padre Island they think of beaches, sun, palm trees, friends and most importantly no school. All twenty-one of us who made the twenty-hour drive from Kearney to Texas were all ready for five carefree days in paradise. The trip started out as planned. Heading to the beach, swimsuits on and cocktails in hand. I was shocked to see thousands and thousands of college students flooding the beach with their university flags flown high in the warm, spring wind. As we got closer, booths advertising certain products were stationed along the sand offering services like free leg shaving or giving bottles of coca cola to every student who gave them a glance. As we moved down the beach there was loud music being blared from speakers, students throwing a football, and girls just catching some rays from the Texas sun. All typical events that happen when school isn’t in session for those seven glorious days.
The next few days carried on with similar events all exciting and adventurous as the days and nights before. Soaking up the sun during the day and busting a move at the local clubs at night. On Thursday, day three of our get-a-way, who knew that we would come off our spring break high with a crashing downer? Friday morning when Bridget woke from her sleep she had stayed the night in our condo across from the Saida Resorts. When she arrived back at her condo at the east side of the resort she called us from her phone to ask if we had spotted her Coach brand clutch purse. We tore our condo apart, lifting couch cushions, rearranging pillows, looking under beds and basically looking in any nook and cranny to find the missing bag. After many minutes of my roommates and I searching, the bag was still unable to be found. Every option of where the bag could be rushed our minds and were asked to Bridget as to where the bag was. Taylor, a friend who was sharing my particular condo, was also worried about the missing bag because her cellular phone was also there. Everyone, just trying to figure out the mystery, was spitting out question after question. As more people got involved with the search more and more people were convinced that the bag had been on the counter that night before, even prior to Bridget coming to our condo. As pieces of the puzzle were starting to come together, another member of our spring break crew was frantically searching for his new camera, which had ironically last been seen right next to Bridget’s bag on the countertop. Now, this wasn’t some plain Jane camera, this was a camera that had cost over $2000. As word of the missing items started to spread through the word of mouth more and more people were realizing certain clues to tie our mystery together. People were questioning the people we knew not only in our own condo but also condos to every side of us. Another group of gentlemen also said that their door had been wide open that same night.
Tempers still continued to flare as people were in search of the missing items. Trying to find any missing clue as to who stole the belongings. After figuring out that the items weren’t simply misplaced, everyone not in our group was considered a suspect. The next morning, the day we were to head back to our college town, I reached for my wristlet purse from the counter. I reached into see how much money I had left I realized that the stack of twenties I had previously counted was missing. I kept recounting and recounting hoping for it to be simply folded down below the other bills I had in this mini purse. Still, the five twenties I had folded in a bunch were gone.
As I began to worry about my missing money, I realized one thing. I realized that nothing would be able to be done about any of our missing items on the trip. Those items that we had cherished dearly were gone forever. Overall spring break is a great time to relax with friends and kick back before the end of semester but always remember to lock your door and never underestimate the greed in anyone. It is still a mystery and the Padre thief will never be caught and brought to justice.

girls gone...not so wild
As I was looking for information about spring break I came across an interesting article. According to MSNBC, The American Medical Association is warning women to be safe during spring break. In the article it stated that 83% of college women and graduates say that spring break involves heavy drinking and 74% said that spring break results in an increase of sexual activity. This data wasn't only taken from friend experiences but also "first-hand" experiences. Several girls reported "getting sick from drinking, blacking out, and having unprotected sex or sex with more than one parter." The article was administered online and had a random sample of 644 women. One student even said it was nice of the AMA to send out this warning but she doubted any students will pay any attention to it at all.
Like other students, I'm heading on a spring break trip. My destination choice: SOUTH PADRE! I couldn't be more excited but I do worry about the dangers it could entail. My plan is to be safe, be smart, and have fun!

slumdog love!
After the Oscars I had to go see it. The hype was killing me. I was a little aprehensive and unsure about this movie and was almost positive I wasn't going to like about it. After paying the 7 dollars to get in to the movie only one thought was running through my head. "This better be good!" To my surprise, I loved it! I thought it was amazing. There wasn't one minute where I was let down or bored. I was glued to the screen for 2 hours and didn't want it to end. I think it was well deserved of it's success and wish more movies would move and encourage me like this one did! Two thumbs up! My advice to everyone...SEE SLUMDOG MILLIONAIRE! :)
get used to it!
Already in a panic, I start pacing up and down the rows in my little two-door car searching for a parking spot, knowing that if I hit the wrong time of day I was destined for a parking ticket. Those little expired stickers placed at the corner of my windshield wouldn't stop those uniformed and unarmed people we call "campus police" from slipping a ten or fifteen dollar ticket under my wiper. I am a parking ticket professional, if you will. I have seen several of those white tickets flapping in the wind on the outside of my car as I drive away from any parking lot on campus but honestly, it's my own fault. Parking here can, indeed,be frustrating especially when more parking permits are sold than there are parking spots. Even when I lived in the dorms and had a valid parking permit, parking on a random Tuesday afternoon was impossible. There were times where I parked a block away from my dorm just because there wasn't anywhere else to go. I understand that parking is an issue at any college or university. Finding that much room for thousands of students to park has to be impossible, I'm sure. I personally don't make parking here at UNK a huge issue. Sure, it can be upsetting when you're running late for class and all you need is a parking spot. Or when you slide that dime into the parking meter just because you are only going to be a minute in the bookstore buying a pack of pencils and the line for the registers is wrapped around the entire store. After waiting in line for over 45 minutes you return to your car, only to find public safety standing outside your vehicle right as your meter is expired. I get it. I completely understand. I've been in several situations where getting a parking ticket was the last thing I needed in my day. But why complain till the cows come home? People throwing fits about having to walk a block to class is a little rediculous. Especially if people understand and take a look at where our campus is located. Our university's location doesn't provide very many possibilities for more parking. Sure now with Follets being closed, more parking may open up but what's the big deal. I think people are lazy and aren't realizing the facts. The fact is, it's probably never going to get better. Purchase a bike or wear more comfortable shoes and head out a few minutes earlier. That advice is all I can give those who want something done about the parking on campus. It's not going to happen! Until something miraculous happens and more parking becomes available get used to parking on the street and make sure you're not in the yellow!

There were 3 particular UNK events that I wanted to discuss
1. Chartwells Contract! I just really think that it is crazy that Chartwells doesn't allow donated food to be brought in on campus for special events. I understand that Chartwells wants first dibs on catoring but what about the food from area businesses that organizations are getting for free! Pizzas, Jimmy Johns, hot dogs, non pepsi products and other items are constantly being donated for campus events and Chartwells throws a fit?! Not okay!
2. Another issue that I happen to be a part of is the right for the UNK cheerleaders to be able to stunt. Stunting has been a part of cheerleading for many years and is a crucial part of the sport. It's like playing basketball without a hoop. It's impossible! Our debate is that we feel like we are beyond just yelling "GO BIG BLUE" on the sidelines. It was a hard battle between the administration at UNK and the cheerleading squad.
3. Finally, the last issue I would like to talk about is the issue of textbooks. Textbooks are rediculously priced. We all know, that now that Follets is closed there is only one place to buy our books other than online. I don't know about anyone else but when I go in to the bookstore on campus I feel as if they are ripping me off. I feel this way especially when I go to sell a book back and I can only get $4 for it or half the time we get told that they are buying new editions. Honestly, how are we to know if that's the truth or not. I just wish the bookstore would be more affordable and professors would also consider our financial situation before requiring a $140 book that we only open twice.

Immigration
When I was trying to come up with a local issue to do my editorial on, one issue that kept sticking out in newspaper after newspaper was the debate about immigration. In my previous blog post I talked about in Omaha how catholic church officials were fighting with government officials to reconsider the deportation of illegal immigrants. It's not that the officials don't agree with the fact that illegal immigration is wrong, but they're worried that innocent people who are already in our country and being deported for the wrong reasons. Worried parishioners were calling their pastors and church employees because family members were being arrested.
Another situation hit close to my home town. In West Point, Nebraska a 37 year old woman with six children and two grandchildren recently received word that she is facing being deported back to Germany. This woman hasn't even been in Germany since she was three years old. Her father is an American and her mother is now also an American citizen. This woman who faces the charges created a felon and has been in and out or rehab with a drug addiction. Granted, she has had troubles in her past and is a classified as a "criminal" but after 34 years of living the United States, why send her back to a country she's unfamiliar with.
I am totally understanding about not allowing illegal immigrants into our country but when someone has lived her for so long and has made a life here, why take that away when this is all she's known. She doesn't speak the language or know the culture. Even though she has had several opportunities to become a citizen and has put it on the back burner, I would be just as satisfied keeping her in American custody. My argument still stands that sending someone back to a country that is unknown is unethical and degrading.

Nebraska Issues
1. Legalizing Immigration
2. Business Owner just "wanted his dog back"
In Council Bluffs, pet shop owner, Rex Maresch had an encounter at his store with pets being stolen. In May one man tried to steal an iguana and ran down the street and Maresch ran after him and retreived the reptile. Other reptiles were also attempted to be stolen and were killed. On Sunday a man walked out of the store and the owner noticed a puppy was stolen. He went after the criminal and the man came back inside the store. Three men surrounded Maresch at the counter to try and intimidate him. After Maresch didn't back down, the man threw the puppy on the counter and ran. The police had already been called and pulled over the man who attempted to steal the designer dog. Later the man was taken into custody and then Maresch's store was vandalized as a way of revenge. I think its terrible how people can just go into local businesses and try to create a crime, expecting to get away with it. Then when they get caught, even though they were the one doing wrong they feel they need to get back at the person that turned them in.
3. Stimulus package could secure jobs
In Omaha it was said that 23,000 jobs could be created or saved due to a $787 economic stimulus bill that was approved by Congress. Nebraska could also expect large amounts of money to fund educational programs or infrastructure projects. Currently in Nebraska there are over 74,000 people out of work.

Remorseful?
Ok! So I was doing some reading on Eonline.com earlier today and was doing some gossip reading on the whole Rihanna and Chris Brown drama. Singer Chris Brown allegedly beat and bruised his girlfriend Rihanna, who is also a performing artist. As I was reading all the different stories and quotes from different entertainers one struck me as kind of funny. Chris Brown's father, Clinton Brown, spoke out on Chris's behalf saying he was at home, regrouping and that he was "very remorseful". "Very Remorseful"?! I would hope that a young man who beat up his girlfriend over a text message would feel remorseful. I just think that it's crazy how celebrities have actions like these and then just expect to get out of it because usually their bail is probably pocket change for them.
I want to wish the best for Rihanna and a smooth recovery!

Close to Home
The same man who kissed an African American woman in an "all white diner" in 1968 to show the ignorant customers and diner employees that they too should be served, is also my dad. My dad, living strong at 58 years old and also my fellow democrat, really gave me some insightful thoughts on the Obama victory. When I was talking on the phone with my dad he really opened up about what this latest presidential election meant to him. "Obama winning this election really hit close to home and was really emotional for me." It is crazy to think that my dad lived in that time when equality and integration were frowned upon. For someone to grow up in a time where African American's couldn't eat at the same restaurants, attend the same schools, or even use the same drinking fountains, and then watch President Barack Obama win the presidential election really was a life changing experience. I really respect my dad for being one of those people who stood up for what he believed in and always fought for the rights of others.
In class when we were discussing the civil rights movement and the inequality of how people were treated I knew I wanted to discuss this in my blog. From the beginning, I had strong admiration for President Obama and was happy to see this history in the making.

Facebook CRAZY
I was looking on MSNBC's website and was shocked to see numerous guides on facebook! What I found interesting was a guide entitled "Dumped by Facebook? 10 Etiquette Rules" As I read it, I was totally in awe in the fact that someone took the time to give advice and also set rules on how to act with a situation dealing with your ex significant other. The guide talked about the dreaded wall posts and private messages and also how creating a fake profile to get back at your ex can cost you in fines up to $40,000! Not only is MSNBC giving guides on breakups but they're also telling people how to date through facebook and providing the world with random facts about facebook. Who knew that this social network that is corrupting our nation's youth would have guides and tips on maybe meeting Mr. or Mrs. Right!

Reality TV
Ok so...I never realized how hard it is to keep up with a blog. Being sick and being busy with cheerleading is driving me crazy! But anyway...Reality television is becoming to get out of control. I remember when it was the Real World and now so many shows are evolving. Shows like Bad Girls Club, A Double Shot at Love, and the Bachelor are becoming OUT OF CONTROL. I sat in my living room, flipping through channels when I stopped at an episode of Bad Girls Club. I could not believe the actions of all these women on tv. I was actually kind of embarrassed and appalled. What is this world coming to!?

Surgery updates given through BLOGGING
After two months of waiting, two Oklahoma infants finally get the chance to live separate lives. Their first steps, their first words, and their first experiences will take place not being attached to one another. Kylee and Preslee Wells, conjoined twins born in late October had a critical surgery done today. When I saw this headline for this article my heart warmed up and it wanted me to read more. As I was reading this article I was blown away and stunned at the fact of technology is used in situations such as these. The doctors kept family and friends updated along the way so it would be as if they were there each step of the way. What is the main way they contacted the family and friends, you ask? BLOGGING! Hospital spokesperson, Alan Poston showed viewers photos, gaves opinions on the 6 hour surgery, and posted updates on his hospital blog. Before this class I wasn’t sure exactly how important blogging is but after reading this article I have a better understanding and acceptance for this form of technology. These parents couldn’t be in the operating room during this vigorous surgery but through blogging these parents could be there for their children!

Hello WORLD!
Hey everyone! I'm Briana and I'm currently a junior at the University of Nebraska at Kearney. I'm majoring in Public Relations with a minor in Sports Administration. I'm enrolled in JMC 425 which is studying Blogging and Commentary. When creating my blog I was struggling to find the perfect name. I pondered several ideas and even asked others for their opinion on what I should entitle my blog. Only one thing came to mind. Ice Cream and Pork Chops. In my blog I will probably be discussing random topics and express several opinions that may contrast and differ from other students' views. So, just like Ice Cream and Pork Chops are on opposite sides of the food spectrum, so are the opinions of students in JMC 425!
